Field Service Scheduling Software for On-Site Work.
Your customers book the appointment. You stay on the job.
Site visit, measuring appointment, maintenance, service call: Slotara makes the plannable appointment types bookable — calculated from your team's real working hours. Without anyone having to pick up the phone.
The call comes while you're working
A business that works at the customer's site has no front desk. Appointment requests come in anyway — always exactly when nobody has a hand free for them.
The problem isn't the calendar. The problem is that every appointment requires a live conversation — exactly when your working time is already committed.
In the middle of a maintenance job
The phone buzzes in your work trousers. A customer wants to know when someone can come by. Answering means interrupting the job. Not answering means the scheduling moves to the callback list.
Between two sites
You can't work through a calendar while driving. The earlier request is still sitting in the inbox as a voice message.
Taking measurements
Folding rule in one hand, clipboard in the other. "Does Thursday or Friday work?" is the wrong question right now.
After hours
The day's callback list. Three attempts until customer and business are reachable at the same time — for a single appointment.
What can actually be booked in the trades?
Nobody books a full bathroom renovation into a 30-minute slot. The site visit for it — absolutely. That's where Slotara comes in: you define which appointment types your customers can book online — with a fixed duration and the employees who are suited for them. Everything else stays where it belongs: with you.
The job itself stays in your hands. What's bookable is the defined appointment it starts with.
When can someone actually make it out there?
A slot in Slotara is not an empty box in a calendar that someone has to maintain. Bookable appointments are calculated — from what actually applies in your business:
Working hours per employee. Whoever isn't scheduled isn't offered. Half days, weekly plans, several work windows per day — the booking knows them all.
Fixed service duration. A 45-minute site visit blocks 45 minutes — not "sometime in the morning".
Buffers before and after appointments. So there's room between two on-site appointments. Slotara doesn't calculate travel routes — but you decide how much space your appointments need.
Conflict checking. What's already taken isn't offered twice. Overlaps are flagged.
What the customer sees in the booking calendar is an appointment your business can actually deliver — not a promise your team has to repair afterwards.
The planning view: who is scheduled when and where — and what's still open.
Not everyone takes every job
Your business has clear rules about who handles what: heating maintenance goes to whoever is assigned to it — not to whoever happens to be free. Slotara maps exactly that: for each service you define which employees are designated for it. The booking calendar only offers appointments with people who actually take on the service.
Service ↔ employee. Every bookable service knows its designated employees — with skills and levels maintained the way you set them up.
No wrong offers. If nobody is available for a service, there simply is no slot for it. Better no appointment than an appointment with the wrong person.
Scheduling: before, and with Slotara
Same business, same customer — different path.
Before — calls & callbacks
- 1 Customer calls or writes
- 2 Availability has to be clarified — usually later
- 3 Who can even take this on?
- 4 Proposal sent, confirmation awaited
- 5 Reminder? If someone remembers.
With Slotara — a defined booking path
- 1 Customer picks the appointment type (e.g. site visit)
- 2 Slotara only shows appointments that actually work
- 3 Customer books — evenings and weekends included
- 4 Confirmation arrives automatically — with a calendar file for the customer
- 5 One configurable reminder (1–168 h before, default 24 h)
No promises about outcomes — just a different process: fewer coordination loops, and scheduling that doesn't depend on reaching for the phone.
What else matters for your business
Widget on your website
The booking path runs on your own site — or on your Slotara booking page if you don't have one. Share it as a link or a printable QR code, for the van or the notice board.
Confirmation & reminder
Every booking is confirmed automatically — the confirmation includes the calendar file for the customer. Plus exactly one reminder at the time you set (1–168 h before, default 24 h).
Multiple locations
Branches with their own team and assignments stay within one Slotara environment — depending on your plan.
No-show reporting
You see which appointments weren't kept — as reporting in the dashboard, not as a gut feeling.
