Small Business Staff Scheduling Software.
Who works when — in one place.
Working hours, absences and service releases for your team — in the same system your clients book from. A single day can consist of several work windows, not just one block.
A working day is rarely one block
Consultations in the morning, evening appointments from six, nothing in between: in many businesses that is the normal case — and in many systems the special case. Slotara treats a working day as several work windows, as long as they don't overlap. They may sit directly next to each other.
So you don't have to enter this every week, you create templates and generate the work windows for a period from them. Breaks from the template are cut straight into the windows as blocked time.
Changes stay local: a single day can be made to deviate without touching the template.
Who is allowed to deliver which service?
Not everyone on the team does every service. In Slotara that hangs on a release list per service — and it is not guessed.
Record the requirements
You define which qualifications a service needs — and at which level.
Slotara works out the comparison
For everyone on the team you can see whether the requirements are met and which qualification is missing, if any. You don't have to keep that comparison yourself.
You confirm the release
The last step stays with you: you release — individually, or for everyone who meets the requirements. Only then is somebody bookable for that service. That way nobody ends up in the schedule because a box was ticked in the background.
After that, only released people appear in the booking flow — and of those, only the ones who work at the chosen location and are inside a work window.
When somebody is out
Holiday, sickness, company closures and individual blocked periods live in the same system as the working hours. Anyone on the team with an account can request an absence themselves — only somebody with the appropriate rights can approve it.
While a request is open it does not change the schedule. Only with the approval do the affected times disappear from booking. That is deliberate: a request is not yet a decision.
Before the approval Slotara checks whether appointments already sit in the requested period. If there are any, the approval is not waved through silently — you see the conflict before you decide.
Nobody can approve their own absence. Not even with administrator rights.
Rules you cannot switch off
Slotara ships predefined working-time rules: a daily and a weekly maximum number of hours, a minimum rest period between two shifts, and an upper limit on consecutive working days.
Two of these rules are fixed: the minimum rest period and the consecutive working days cannot be turned down. For the maximum hours you decide at which value Slotara warns you.
Slotara surfaces conflicts instead of quietly preventing them: a schedule is saved, and the detected conflict then appears in your conflict list. The decision about what happens next stays with the business.
What your team gets to see
Anyone with an account sees their own working day: their own appointments, their own work windows, their own breaks — and their own next absence.
What does not belong to them is not visible either. These views show exclusively what is assigned to the signed-in person. Without an assignment they stay empty instead of falling back to the whole business.
Above that sit four roles — Owner, Admin, Manager and Staff — which determine who can manage, who can only read and who only gets their own view.

Frequently asked questions about staff management
Yes. A day can consist of several work windows — for example one in the morning and one in the evening. They may sit directly next to each other, but they must not overlap.
You record the requirements of the service, Slotara shows you for each person whether they are met — and you release. Only with your release is somebody bookable for that service.
The absence is entered and approved; after that the affected times are no longer bookable. If appointments already sit there, Slotara shows this before the approval so you can decide what happens to them.
No. Requesting yes, approving no — not even with administrator rights.
Slotara checks the recorded working-time rules and reports detected conflicts. It does not automatically block saving and does not replace a legal review.
The number of bookable employees and the number of user accounts depend on the plan and are counted separately. You will find the current limits on the pricing page.
